This box is made from curly Western Big Leaf Maple burl with a pitch-streaked Cherry top panel and keys. It was made with a four corner grain match allowing the grain to flow around the box smoothly. The dimensions are 4 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 21/2" tall. It was finished with a drying oil on the inside and outside, wet sanded to 1000 grit. The outside is finished with shellac using a french polish technique and then buffed out with Caranauba wax. The lid is a lift off type. The liner is a black velvet type material.
