This box is made from curly Koa with spalted Scottish Birch quad-matched top panel. The border on the top panel is Holly. It was made with a four corner grain match allowing the grain to flow around the box smoothly. The dimensions are 6 " x3 3/4" x 1 3/4" tall. It was finished with a drying oil on the inside and outside. The outside is fininished with shellac using a french polish technique and then buffed out with Caranauba wax. The hinges are a minature barrel type and the box opens to 85°. The liner is a synthetic suede material and will not tarnish silver.
